1. About Us
This website (optimalphysio.co.uk) is operated by Optimal Physio Ltd, a private musculoskeletal physiotherapy company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC543302). Our registered address and clinic locations are available on our Contact page. Throughout these Terms, the words “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Optimal Physio Ltd.
We provide physiotherapy, sports injury, massage therapy, orthotics, shockwave therapy and related healthcare services from our clinics in Clarkston (East Renfrewshire) and Largs (North Ayrshire), Scotland.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using any part of this website, or by booking and attending an appointment with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these Terms in full, you must not use our website or services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the version date shown above. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. Our Services
We offer a range of clinical and wellness services including, but not limited to:
- Physiotherapy assessment and treatment
- Sports injury rehabilitation
- Massage therapy
- Custom orthotics
- Shockwave therapy
- Stimpod therapy (nerve stimulation)
- Nutrition support
- Red light therapy (photobiomodulation)
All clinical services are delivered by HCPC-registered physiotherapists or suitably qualified practitioners. Our services are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 999 or attend your nearest A&E.
4. Appointments & Cancellation Policy
We operate a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by telephone or email.
Late cancellations (within 24 hours) and missed appointments (“did not attend”) may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to the full session cost. We will communicate our current fee schedule upon booking. Repeated late cancellations or DNAs may result in us being unable to offer future appointments.
We will make every reasonable effort to provide your appointment at the agreed time. Occasionally, appointments may need to be rescheduled due to unforeseen clinical or operational circumstances. We will notify you as soon as possible in such cases.
5. Fees & Payment
Our current fee schedule is available on our website and at our clinics. All fees are stated in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Payment is due at the time of each appointment unless a specific payment plan has been agreed in writing. We accept payment by card, cash, and bank transfer. We do not store card details on our systems.
Prices are subject to change. We will always notify you of any price changes before your next booking. Prepaid treatment plans are non-refundable once treatment has commenced, except where required by law. All prepaid appointments must be used within a 12 month period. We do offer a 60 day money back satisfaction guarantee on all our plans.
We accept referrals from certain private health insurers. It is your responsibility to confirm your eligibility and authorisation with your insurer prior to treatment. We do not guarantee insurance reimbursement.
6. Clinical Information, Consent & Medical Disclaimer
Before commencing treatment, we will complete a clinical assessment and obtain your informed consent. You are responsible for providing us with full and accurate information about your health, medication, and medical history. Failure to do so may affect the safety or appropriateness of your treatment.
You have the right to withdraw consent for treatment at any time. We will not proceed with any treatment you have declined.
The clinical content on our website is provided for general information purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. It should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional assessment and diagnosis. Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional regarding any health concerns.
7. Data Protection & Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Optimal Physio Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller. Your personal and health data is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We collect, store and process your data to provide clinical services, manage appointments, communicate with you, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties. Full details of how we use your data, your rights, and our retention policy are set out in our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, videos and downloadable materials, is the property of Optimal Physio Ltd or its content licensors and is protected by UK copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit or otherwise use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our express written permission. You may print or download content for your own personal, non-commercial reference.
9. Website Use & Prohibited Conduct
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the website. You must not:

Our total liability to you in connection with any clinical service shall not exceed the fees paid by you for that specific course of treatment. This limitation does not apply to clinical negligence claims, which are subject to their own professional indemnity arrangements.

We are committed to delivering a high standard of care. If you have a concern or complaint, please contact us in the first instance by email or telephone so we can address it promptly. Our complaints procedure is available on request.
If your complaint relates to the professional conduct of a registered physiotherapist, you may also contact the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) at http://www.hcpc-uk.org, or the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) at http://www.csp.org.uk.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
